Doughboats Lake Taupo is a unique, one of a kind experience available exclusively in Taupo. The brainchild of James and Laurel Kells, the idea is that people can enjoy the beauty of Lake Taupo at their own speed. Navigating a doughnut shaped boat, powered by a small engine, you get to cruise along the lake and take in Taupo from a different view. Each rental session lasts for 2 hours, with each Doughboat holding up to six people. Bring your own snack and drinks. There are even bluetooth speakers in each boat as well, so you can cruise along to your favourite beats.
